Areas of Expertise

Jennie has been offering assessment and psychological therapy to adult clients since 2002.

 

She is skilled and experienced in the treatment and management of mood (depression) and the anxiety disorders including panic disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

 

Though specialising in CBT and ACT, Jennie is also trained in other approaches and has experience of Person-Centred, short term psychodynamic and systemic family therapy as well as motivational interviewing (MI).

 

She is an experienced group facilitator having developed and led various therapeutic groups including therapy for people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) and clinical depression

Jennie has expertise in the field of clinical health and has worked as a co-facilitator on highly specialist diabetes groups.

 

She is also a certified weight loss educator and is interested in the development of techniques that more fully integrate psychological and physical health approaches to wellbeing. To attend one of these courses contact OWL health.

 

Jennie works part time in a psychological medicine department in the NHS.

My Approach

We are all individually different. Having experience in different modalities and many years of working for the NHS with different clients enables me to tailor my approach based on individual's needs.

Every client and every session could be different depending on the  requirements.
